Four pillars of Wisdom
A personal quest for a civilisation of living life
This is my main, ongoing study about worldly wisdom. It persists under continuous development and it will be so for a very long wile, I hope. Do not expect to find the whole essay too soon, I would like to live a little longer; let my voyage to Ithaca be a long one... I will add chapters, from time to time. The whole will change at will, by adding and cutting and on-line editing.
Meanwhile, in my "blog" I gather example and comment of what I believe to be wisdom and its opposites; that keeps me busy. It may be that in the end the examples will tell more than the theory.
Moreover I do not write this for clicks or for a career. Wide audience is not a concern so that I can indulge in musing instead of concise communication."Wisdom, sleeping" is a record, one as I would have liked to have from my own parents, for family memory; simple enough to be mind-size, to give thoughts one can apply but not too simple so that living complication and subtlety would be lost; generous, I hope, candid and true to experience but not politically correct or scientifically correct so that my own common sense truth and intuition would be lost.
CHAPTERS:
Why Wisdom, a Provisional Foreword
Doubts
Ethos or How I Learned Some Wisdom
The "State of the Art" - an Impression
A Nutshell History of Worldly Wisdom
What is Wisdom:
(I) Wise Knowledge; a way to understand knowledge
(II) Good Judgment is the Second Pillar of Wisdom
(III) Wise conduct is the third pillar of wisdom
